I cannot believe I’m putting this up for sale, but I have a one in one out policy and unfortunately this one gets worn the least. For sale is a rare Glycine Airman No. 1. This is the limited edition numbered out of 1,000 that was released a number of years ago and is a vintage re-issue of the original. In my opinion, this is the most desirable model being that it is the black dial, 40mm, purist version (meaning no GMT hand and the hour hand rotates around the dial once a day). For those that don’t know the history, this watch is the original and first GMT ever made, predating the Rolex GMT by a year or so. It was also a popular choice of pilots in the Vietnam War. This watch oozes history. The watch is in very good condition having been worn in a rotation with many other watches. There are some normal scratches on the case from normal wear and minor scratches on the plexiglass crystal which is pretty typical with these types of crystals and easily remedied with some Polywatch. Pics are the best description of condition. Comes as a full set with the cool wooden box that is a re-issue of the box this was originally sold in in the 1960s in commissary stores. It also comes on its original strap which is in good shape, and warranty paperwork. I’m asking a reduced $799 shipped to your door CONUS, which is a super reasonable price given its rarity.
