Hi guys - Up for sale is my Eterna KonTiki Ref 130 FTT with Gay Freres bracelet. I believe it dates from 1970 (going by the stamp on the bracelet) and measures a wearable 37mm across the dial. A perfect everyday vintage watch, from an era when Eterna were competing on quality with the big boys. If you want a usable, modern sized vintage steel sports watch, with an excellent automatic movement - these are very hard to beat in terms of quality and value for money. Dial - In very good condition with no tarnishing or blemishes, applied indices, lovely original yellow lume on the hour and minute hands. Crystal - original crystal, it features the embedded Eterna five ball bearing logo (hard to photograph but its there.) Case - measures 37mm across without crown. Some polishing to the edges, gold Kon Tiki medallion on caseback which is in good condition, these are often very worn but this one is crisp and detailed (sorry the pic isn't very sharp.) Movement - Automatic Calibre 1489 K with date, I understand this was based on the Eta 2433 made to Eterna specification. Keeping vintage good time and all functions as it should. Bracelet - Gay Freres bracelet with 2/70 stamped, I believe this denotes the year of manufacture. Kon Tiki clasp with Eterna logo. Some stretch commensurate with age. Fits my 7 and quarter inch wrist and there is plenty room in the micro adjust in the clasp if you have larger wrist The crown is original (it doesn't feature the Eterna logo but I believe that is correct for this reference). One thing to point out - after purchasing the watch, I asked watchmaker Simon Freese to check it over, and we discovered it's missing the tiny spring inside the crown stem. This doesn't affect the operation of the crown, its unscrews and screws down as it should, and you pull the crown out to the first position to adjust the time as normal. The date is advanced by moving between midnight and 9 'o clock. A replacement spring could be sourced, but I haven't bothered as it doesn't affect the operation of the crown.
