For sale is a very nice example of a reference 16018 Datejust in 18k yellow gold, from circa 1979.

The watch features a sharp, thick case, with all hallmarks and numbers clearly present. The original crown winds and closes securely and the watch currently runs well, but service history is unknown.

The original white 'Buckley' dial is pretty much flawless to my eye, with attractive patina on the tritium plots and matching, original hands. The watch comes as 'head only' but I'll throw in a new high-quality leather strap of your choice (the one in the pictures is old and worn).
