The watch is in mint condition with a flawless crystal and healthy movement (measured at an accurate -0.03 sec/day by a Seiko QT quartz tester, please see the image from the photo album). The Seiko Flightmaster has developed a cult following among watch enthusiasts due to its unique aviation inspired design and features, often referred to as a "cockpit on your wrist". It features:

• High Dome crystal for improved optical effect and readability of the aviation chapter ring and dial.
• Meca-quartz (smooth sweep) 1/5 second chronograph.
• 200 meters of water resistance.
• Chronograph pusher threading locks similar to the Rolex Daytona
• High efficiency quartz movement with 3 years of battery life expectancy (the battery was replaced a year ago, so it has 2 years left).
• The alarm on these watches has that old school bird-like chirping sound and the alarm subdial can also be used as a dual time when the alarm is not in use.
• Low battery indicator: the small second hand moves at two-second intervals when the battery needs to be replaced.
• Seiko’s LumiBrite lume on hands and indices.

The watch also features a rotary “flight computer” (the watch’s bezel and chapter ring), which is a brilliant adaptation of the standard slide-rule, a mathematical apparatus used throughout history by scientists and engineers to design “virtually everything”, from airplane fuel consumption calculations to building rockets and sending astronauts to the moon. The bezel has a grippy sawtooth edge and smooth bi-directional action which makes adjustments and calculations a snap. Using the bezel’s slide ruler, you can perform the following calculations:
