Hi guys,
Up for sale is a truly fantastic watch: a full set Rolex Submariner 5513 'Maxi dial' that I had the chance to buy directly from the first owner.
On Christmas Eve 1984 an American gentleman went to Harrods in London to buy a watch and walked out with a brand new Submariner 5513 that he paid £900 for. Forty years later, here it is: a time capsule including the original plastic bag.
7.3 serial, flawless Mk4 "maxi dial", perfect case, mint Mk3 insert, the original 93150 bracelet with no stretch, box and papers.
The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.
CASE:
Even and thick case.
Original tube and crown.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 5513 caseback.
BEZEL INSERT:
Original Rolex "Mk3" insert in mint condition.
DIAL:
The dial is an original 'Maxi dial' Mk4 variant with a beautiful creamy patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
Oversized 'maxi' plots in perfect condition.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and was checked with UVA light.
Dial shows no chips around the rehault and no scratches.
BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 93150 with 580 endings in excellent condition with all the 12 links.
The clasp is original to the watch and the "G2 code matches with year of the sale.
SET:
The watch comes with the full set: the original Rolex box, the original Rolex outer box with '5513' sticker, the Rolex warranty certificate, the Rolex warranty holder, the Rolex translation booklet, the Rolex calendar, the Rolex booklets ('Your Rolex Oyster' and 'Rolex Submariner'), the Rolex price tag, the original 'Harrods' plastic bag.
MOVEMENT:
Correct 1520 caliber running well.
The movement was fully serviced by watchmaker in December 2023.
Asking 18500 euro insured shipping included.
