Hi again folks, I am very excited to offer for sale what may be one of the earliest Seiko 7A28-7039 Quartz Chronograph “Synchrotimers”, originally sourced and serviced by Hub City Vintage! This model was originally released in early 1983 but a small number were made in late 1982 ahead of the release – this example is from November 1982, making it one of those earliest models produced. The 7A28’s claim to fame was being the world’s first analog quartz chronograph. The movement is very robust featuring fly by wire" circuitry and 15 jewels. It's not only serviceable, but can even be regulated. This example is completely original, aside from a replacement crystal, including the "H-Link" bracelet with PVD hinges. It is in very honest, serviced vintage condition. There are a number of wear marks and small dings throughout the case, the most notable of which are on the case edge at 12 o’clock and on the clasp. The bezel insert has light wear but still presents beautifully. The bracelet is tight and in great condition with light desk diving marks. With all clasp micro adjustments made, it should be able to fit roughly a 7.5-7.75” wrist – there are no additional links. The crown and chronograph pushers all work properly and the hands reset as they should. There is some light staining on the lume on the handset and lume markers, but overall the dial is in fantastic condition. The sale will be for the “watch only” with original hangtag and box from Hub City Vintage. Note for vintage watches:  I do my best to describe any watch I sell to the best of my ability, but old watches are like old cars – they can be temperamental, get damaged or magnetized more easily in transit despite careful packaging, need service at any time, and are generally not as reliable or as precise as a modern watch.  It should be assumed that unless I know the service history the watch will likely need a service if you plan to wear it frequently.  Even post-service (depending on the watchmaker), vintage watches can still be less reliable than modern watches.  Please understand this before buying a vintage watch in general!  Vintage watches are purchased from me as is with no expressed or implied warranty nor guarantee of similar functioning after they leave my hands.
