Now this is a special Speedy… THE pre-moon Omega Speedmaster, Ed White ref 105.003 with legendary caliber 321! That’s right, before Buzz strapped one of these on and took that historic walk, the Speedmaster went to space on the wrist of astronaut Ed White, in 1965 aboard the Gemini 4. White tragically died just 2 years later, in 1967 during a test launch of Apollo 1. The same year this very Speedmaster was made - an incredible watch, a piece of history, AND I feel confident saying one of the finer examples to come to market in a while, complete with papers, double boxes, and Omega extract! REFERENCE: ST 105.003-65 SERIAL: 24,951,XXX YEAR: 1967 DIAL: Just stunning, even under a loupe/macro only very minimal signs of wear. Light brown tones seen at the right angle, and perfectly aged tritium lume throughout, all lighting up evenly under UV. Beautiful example, including the original Omega signed crystal. BEZEL: Original Omega bezel with correct dot over 90, light wear throughout as expected, but looks fantastic. CASE: 42MM stainless case, the last of the straight lug Speedmasters. Looks incredible with light wear and nice sharp lines. Correct pre-moon case back, the common Omega service crown often found on these - all in about as nice as they come. MOVEMENT: LEGENDARY cal 321 hand would chronograph! Service history unknown but it’s running very well, chronograph snaps back to 12, winding is like butter, and timegrapher showing 12 seconds a day and a very healthy amplitude of 355! BRACELET: Comes on it’s original Omega 1035 flat link bracelet with correct 1967 date stampings and VERY hard to find original 6 end links.
