The watch stands out with its whirlpool-textured dial — a rare design among Seiko models that gives the dial extra depth as it catches light from different angles. It features a day-date complication and belongs to the Seiko Superior line, marked by the engraved lion caseback — a symbol typically seen on Grand Seiko and early Seiko chronometer models, underscoring its premium status above the more common Seiko 5 range. Housed in a 36mm stainless steel case with 11mm thickness and 18mm lug width, the watch is powered by the 7S36 automatic movement with 23 jewels and a beat rate of 21,600 bph, offering a 41-hour power reserve. The movement does not feature hand-winding or hacking functions. This watch is in excellent condition for its age, showing only a few scratches here and there. It has been fully serviced, with the movement disassembled, gaskets cleaned and oiled up— essential maintenance for a watch approaching 30 years, it is currently running at +/-2s a day.
