For sale is this vintage Seiko "5" (5126-8030), made in Japan, in August of 1967. The condition is fantastic for an almost 60 year-old watch. The famous Seiko 5 series was introduced in just 4 years prior to this watch in 1963 with the core principles of every Seiko 5 watch to be automatic, have a day/date function, have water resistance, a recessed crown at 4 o'clock and to be durable for everyday wear, which still caries on to this day. This Seiko 5 design is menacingly classy with its well-made and detailed flattened fluted bezel and sunburst dial complemented with a crosshair and the Seiko logo printed at the 9 o'clock - an interesting choice you don't see too often, especially on dress watches. The monolithic block markers stand tall and have a double cutout for visual interest in the way it catches the light. The Daini factory lightning bolt symbol is proudly printed at the 6 o'clock (during their fierce rivalry with the Suwa Factory). The decagon-shaped day/date window also adds to the elegance housing the silver day and negative (black) date.  The 5126 movement was only made for a short period and had a very handy quick date change function that advances the date every time you push the crown in. The day change is a slow change type.  Brand new strap that is very pliable. The watch runs great and tells decent time. Condition is very good with some general wear as expected for a watch of this age.
