In 1962, Bulova introduced a new line of watches under the "Caravelle" brand name. Later in the history of Caravelle, the brand began to use movements manufactured in West Germany, hence the "T WEST GERMANY T" text below six o'clock on our example. You may see some Caravelle and Bulova watches referred to as "Devil Divers". This is due to their 666 feet of water resistance, as seen on the dial and caseback.
