For sale is this vintage Seiko "Chronos" (9531-5020), made in Japan in October of 1985. This example, reference number WKV024, is one of the more premium offerings from the "Chronos" line by Seiko housing the more accurate Calibre 9531 movement, with a stated accuracy of +/- 20 seconds per YEAR! (As a comparison the popular digital quartz Casio F-91W is only accurate to +/- 30 seconds per MONTH) The dial is a wonderful gold champagne colour with contrasting black pencil hands and a matte gold seconds hand that satisfyingly hits every marker. The indices are high-polish gold with a black stripe down the middle for visual interest. The minute track, Seiko logo, Chronos logo and print at the bottom of the dial are all in black.  The case has its original finishing and is in great condition for its age of 40 years old! The mixture of brushed and polished facets paired with the gold flanks really bring out and define the case.  It is a fabulous little classy watch with a full two-tone styling that would look great with a suit. At just 5.5mm thin it would slip right beneath the cuff. The calibre 9531 is very neatly packaged while being extremely accurate and resembles the 9F series of Grand Seiko Quartz movements of today. Designed and manufactured by the Suwa factory during their fierce rivalry with the Daini factory as indicated by the Suwa swirl symbol at the bottom of the dial and case back. The original integrated two-tone bracelet makes the package whole. It is adjustable to fit most wrists. The watch and crystal is in good condition but have some general but minimal wear.
