While often associated with the broader “Alpinist” family, this model is a more elegant interpretation, emphasizing on the dressiness side rather than the utilitarian side of a tradition tool watch. At its heart beats the Seiko Caliber 4S15, a hi-beat automatic movement running at 28,800 bph. Derived from Seiko’s prestigious 52-series movements, the 4S15 was known for its precision and smooth sweep, making the LHAM601 one of the standout offerings in Seiko’s 1990s catalog. The watch features a 38mm x 43.8mm stainless steel case with a polished finish and a vintage-inspired domed crystal that enhances its warm, understated charm. The mint green dial is paired with gold-tone hands and applied indices, creating a harmonious and dressy look that wears beautifully in both casual and formal settings. This example remains in great condition for its age, showing only minor scratches and no dents from careful wear (mostly on the caseback). The dial is clean and crisp, the crystal is clear and free of scratch. It has been recently serviced and is keeping great time at +/-4s a day. The watch comes fitted on OEM bracelet that fits up to 19cm (7.5 inches). Although it doesn’t come with original box and papers, a standard watch box will be provided upon purchase.
