The Citizen Recordmaster RMOS 2901-T is among the rarest and most significant Citizen chronographs ever made. Introduced during December 1968, it stands out as using the only hand-wound chronograph movement Citizen ever produced and this variant (the 2901-T) is believed to have been manufactured for that one month alone.  Under the dial beats the Citizen Caliber 5701, the second iteration of Citizen’s sole hand-wind chronograph movement. It features 21 jewels, beats at 18,000 vph, and includes start/stop, reset, and flyback functions (reset while running).  Apart from rarity and significance the watch is beautiful, definitely a dressy chronograph. Beautiful monotone look. My favorite thing about this watch is the step dial adds so much depth and character to the watch. This particular example is well maintained and retains many original features: • Case & Dial: Some wear and marks are visible on the case, the dial remains very clean and attractive with some almost invisible marks. • Movement: serviced and running reliably, will include timegrapher results • Bracelet: Comes with its original Citizen bracelet, which is a rare find for the 2901-T and adds considerable provenance. • Case Dimensions: 38 mm without crown, with 18 mm lug width.  Why This Watch Is So Special: • Ultra-limited production — all known 2901-T examples appear to come from December 1968.  • Singular movement: The 5701 is the only hand-wound chronograph movement ever mass-produced by Citizen.  • Historical significance: The Recordmaster line marked Citizen’s first foray into chronograph-type models, making it a foundational piece in their chronograph history.  • Collector appeal: Few of these survive, especially with original bracelet and in good running condition. The watch is offered at a great deal! Hard to determine pricing due to rarity, only another currently available in much worse condition and previously I have seen one sell without the bracelet for over €2000.
