[WTS] 1941 Universal Genève “Sterile Dial” Ref. 31214 Cal. 262 | $600
[WTS] 1941 Universal Genève “Sterile Dial” Ref. 31214 Cal. 262 | $600
At first, this might seem like an unbranded vintage timepiece, but as you know, sterile dials often hide secrets. In this particular case, we’re looking at a Universal Genéve from 1941, powered by the legendary caliber 262. Although it isn’t an issued timepiece, the reference 31214 is clearly military-inspired, as you can tell by the black gilt dial and fixed springbars. The chrome-plated case looks amazing for its age, unlike many watches from the era. **Condition:** Good. The case has very little wear for its age. The acrylic crystal has a crack, but it seems to be original, so I haven’t replaced it. Please see the pictures for full condition and clarity. **Case Size:** 33mm x 38.7mm chrome-plated case with signed stainless steel caseback, 10.6mm thickness with a 17mm lug width. **Movement**: Universal Genève 262, manual wind with 17 jewels, 18,000 bph, and a 39-hour power reserve. Service history is unknown, but everything is working as it should. **Price:** Asking $600. Please add $25 for worldwide shipping. Payment methods include Wise, ACH transfer, Revolut, Bitcoin (On-Chain or Lightning), or PayPal G&S for buyers with solid references. Add +7.5% for currency conversion fees on the latter. Portugal has suspended all shipments to the US, but I can still ship to other countries. Established seller with over 220 transactions – buy with confidence!
