Hi folks! In for sale is one of the best neo-vintage Rolexes, the black dial 16570 Explorer II from 2001. This example was purchased from Crown & Caliber and is special because this was the first year of the solid end link bracelet and last year of the drilled lugs case. I would put the condition at 90%. The case appears to have been very lightly, professionally polished in the past but it maintains crisp lines and has no major dings or dents, with only very minor hairlines / rubs in some of the polished and brushed finishes. The bezel is in fantastic condition with very minor signs of wear. The bracelet is stamped as 78790A and is in great shape with only very light desk diving marks. It should fit up to roughly a 7.75" wrist. The only notable flaw is a very very tiny nick in the edge of the crystal at 2:00 – it is there but not really noticeable when staring straight down from the watch because it falls within the “milky ring” illusion of the edge of the crystal. I took a macro pic of it so that you can see it’s there, but again it doesn’t present as super visible on the wrist. ANOTHER ITEM TO NOTE BECAUSE I RECEIVED SEVERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT IT ON MY PREVIOUS LISTING – the previous owner had the cyclops removed from the crystal and it actually gives it a super clean vibe! Service history is unknown but I timed it on my timegrapher app within COSC specs after a few hand winds – the crown actuates beautifully and all functions work properly.
