Up for grabs is my Reverse Panda Dugena Chronograph from the early 1970s. I bought the watch on eBay in July 2020 and immediately got it serviced. It was listed as NOS, which I’d always take with a pinch of salt, but it’s clear that it was seldom worn and well looked after. I've worn it sparingly since then and I’ve since added other vintage chronos to the collection that I’ve bonded with more. I do think it’s a seriously cool watch, though, so my loss could be your gain.

Here’s my assessment:

CASE
37mm diameter, excluding crown. Stainless steel back and chromed case, but showing no signs of loss of plating. It’s shiny and in great condition. Nice wearable size with great wrist presence. 18mm lug width.

DIAL
Flawless original matte black dial with white subdials and all original hands, the latter in a real 70s vintage Heuer style. The lume plots are intact and have patinated to a vibrant lemon colour. As is common, the lume on the hands, whilst intact, has patinated more darkly. One cool feature of the dial is the inner telemeter scale in addition to the usual tachymetre on the outer rim. Although branded Dugena, this dial is seen on a lot of chronograph models from other makers in this period. Original crystal in great condition.

MOVEMENT
The workhouse Valjoux 7733 beats away reassuringly inside this beast. A rock solid, manual winding 17-jewel movement, recently serviced and keeping great time. Chronograph is all working as it should. I sent it to my watchmaker recently to have a minor repair to the start/stop pusher (loose screw). This has now been fixed and is working like a dream. Whilst he was working on the watch he also adjusted the timekeeping, so this is a watch that can be worn without fear for a good couple of years or more. Proof of the 2020 service will of course be provided with the sale.

STRAP
The watch will ship with a very lightly worn Di-Modell racing strap that complements it perfectly, as well as a CNS black NATO with red Ducati stripe. Both straps are shown in photos below (apologies: any marks on the crystal are dust):

My price is £650 net to me. The watch and I are based in the UK (London). Shipping to be discussed with the buyer. I have lots of feedback on here as a buyer, and one as a seller - this is my second sale on OF. Feedback can be found here:

Finally, a wrist shot:

Many thanks for looking, feel free to ask questions, and thanks to OF for the space!
