Up for sale is the one watch I never thought I would sell. I planned for this to be buried with me one day, 6 feet deep in the cold earth. But here we are, listing it in the sales forum on watchuseek. Pay special attention my fellow watch enthusiasts, for this is a chance to buy not only a watch, but part of a man's soul. Up for sale is my Baume et Mercier Capeland S 8329. Sure you can look at the specs, the watch model, and the pictures, and say "meh", but that does not tell the whole story. This is the watch I bought while courting my wife back in 2006. This is the watch I wore in Las Vegas when I proposed in front of the Bellagio fountains in 2008. This is the watch I wore when we got married the following year in my hometown in the midwest with my family and friends. This is the watch that I have held onto during our 8 years of marriage with many other watches coming and going in my typical 20+ watch collection. I have not worn this watch in the last few years, it has become a safe queen. I was not wearing this watch when she told me her close friend was dying of cancer across the country last November, and I encouraged her to visit her friend if it was that bad while I watched our young daughter, like a good husband would do. I was not wearing this watch in December when she was acting very strange and very rude to me during the holidays, the one time a year I get time off from work. I was not wearing this watch when I finally decided to look into whats going on, and stumbled upon countless pictures of her and her former millionaire boyfriend (who is 20 years older than me...yuck) in "compromising positions" to put it politely on the strumpet's i-cloud account. I was not wearing it when I filed for divorce the following week on the day of our 8 year anniversary. So for these reasons, I have decided this watch needs to go after all this time and major life events. Your purchase will not only get you a nice Swiss watch in so-so condition, it will help to get the taste of a soul-crushing succubus out of the mouth of a man you have never met before. I promise the funds from this purchase will be spent on starting a new life post she-devil, which may or may not include gentleman's clubs, premium subscriptions to only the finest adult websites, or other new bachelor activites best not to post about on the internet…

Baume & Mercier’s story begins in 1830 with the founding of a family business. Brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume opened a comptoir horloger (watch dealership) in Les Bois, a village in the Swiss Jura. Their company developed rapidly and earned an excellent reputation by creating exceptional models incorporating cutting-edge innovations. Loyal to their motto “Accept only perfection, only manufacture watches of the highest quality”, the Frères Baume company enjoyed rapid growth. Louis- Victor was a true visionary who already intuitively sensed women’s interest in watchmaking and gifted his daughter Mélina a gold pocket-watch in 1869.
