For sale here is an amazing, original Triple Date / Datocompax chronograph in steel by the oldest watchmaker in the world, Gallet. This Gallet Multichron Calendar (as it was called by Gallet) reference 998 is outfitted with the pinnacle of triple calendar chronograph movements, the caliber Valjoux 72C and dates to the 1950s. All original condition with signed caseback and movement. Unlike many others which have been redialled this one retains full originality as evidenced by the gorgeous patina and aged lacquer on the dial. Put together in a very nicely sized 35mm (excl. Crown) unpolished steel case with a waterproof screwed caseback. This watch is almost identical to the Rolex 6036 ‘Jean-Claude Killy´ which sells for upwards of a quarter million dollars.
