For sale my Omega Ranchero reference CK 2990-1 in great condition!
A reference that to many doesn't need an introduction. The watch is often considered the 4th musketeer of the original 1957 Omega professional ‘Trilogy’ which included the Seamaster 300 CK 2913, the Railmaster CK 2914, the Speedmaster CK 2915. They were only produced for about a year, because the name 'Ranchero' was considered politically incorrect in Latin America. Nowadays, they've become hard to find in original state.
Dial is in great original shape, with all the radium indexes showing the typical pumpkin color that we all like to see with a Ranchero. It shows ‘SWISS MADE’ at 6, and it does have a bit of patina that is only visible when the light shines from a certain angle. I did a Geiger Counter test that led to 2.9 microsv of radiation with the plexy still on, proving to me that it contains original radium.
Case feels still sharp.
Movement: 267, in good shape. It was serviced recently. Serialnumber 1682**** , which puts it in the correct range for the Ranchero model, at the end of 1958.
Original subsecond hand in white. Broad arrow handset in good shape!
Original Omega bowler hat crown, which likely is a service replacement.
My asking price is 5250 euro net to me, excl shipping. Payment via bank wire or paypal friends & families. Watch is located in Barcelona, Spain. I prefer shipping within the EU, but open to look at other countries. Returns are only accepted in case of the watch being significantly misrepresented. Although I have done a number of buyer transactions here at OF, my selling experience is limited. I'm happy to provide Linkedin or any other background of me upon request.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
