There’s just so much to love about the Omega Speedmaster - it’s a full fledged classic. Known for releasing special editions, I particularly love the racing line because it’s the Speedmaster going back to its roots. Before it was the moon watch, it was a racing chronograph. They’ve done a few racing releases, but this one with the slick textured black dial has got to be my favorite! And this example comes as a full boxes and cards set WITH recent service! REFERENCE: 326.30.40.50.01.001 DATE: app 2000. DIAL: Gorgeous black dial with really cool texturing on the sub dials. And then when you get it in the right light/the right angle you can see these awesome vertical lines in the dial and it can almost transform to a dark steel gray, just an awesome design! Incredibly clean example, a dust spec here or there under macro but all in just fantastic! CASE: For those who are caught deciding between the 42MM professional and the 39MM reduced, this hits the sweet spot! VERY CRISP and clean 40mm case with great original lines and that classic brushing on the sides. Just beautiful! Minimal wear as you’d expect given the age, including a few scratches on the mirror polished areas, but all in an incredible example. CRYSTAL: Domed sapphire crystal looks very clean with some light edge wear - overall in great shape, showing off that dial perfectly. MOVEMENT: Omega Co-Axial cal 3330 automatic was serviced recently by the previous owner. While I don’t have a receipt for that service it’s running very well, chrono functions perfectly, everything snaps back to 12 as it should, and timegrapher numbers are where you’d want them for a recently serviced example at 4 seconds a day and a very strong amplitude of 294! BRACELET: Comes on its original Omega bracelet which is currently sized for approximately 7 inches but comes with two additional links so could go well over 7.5. Light wear seen throughout, but mostly on the clasp, still VERY clean! ACCESSORIES: Comes as an awesome set! Outer white Omega cardboard box, inner red Omega box in surprisingly clean shape, all three original Omega cards, original Omega card holder, and the original Omega operating booklet.
