Based on the DS 30, the Windup edition differed from the normal version by featuring straight sword hands and a color-matched date at six. They were also the first DS 30s to feature Damasko’s highly scratch-resistant DAMEST coating. Though a discreet watch, the DS 30 is a formidable tool watch, and an incredible value. First, it’s made of submarine steel, which is harder and more anti-corrosive than 316L, on top of which is the already mentioned DAMEST which is a proprietary triple-layer DLC. Damasko also employs their incredible patented crown system which utilizes multiple Viton seals, a self-lubricating cell for smooth threading, hexagonal tube, and a decoupling system. Coming in at 39 x 46 x 9.9mm with 20mm lug width and 200m of water resistance, it’s truly a go-anywhere do-anything watch. I’m selling mine simply because I don’t wear it enough and it seems sad to let it collect dust. The condition is like new thanks to the surface coating. The watch comes with the original packaging, but not the original strap. Instead, I have included an ADPT U.S. Made Single Pass in gray.
