Offered by NoVA Watch Supply of Fairfax, VA: An excellent condition Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Chronograph 44.25 mm – Meteorite Dial Edition watch REF. 311.63.44.51.99.001. This is the “speedy” of all speedys, despite what people think of the Snoopy. The meteorite dial is made from a solid piece of ancient, extra-terrestrial stone that has been acid etched so this watch has a unique dial pattern from all others produced. This now sold-out watch is crafted in grey ceramic for the casing and complimented by 18k Sedna gold moonwatch-style hands and an 18k Sedna gold bezel with a silicon nitride ring and brushed Omega Ceragold tachymeter scale. The original two counter Speedmaster was inspired with racing in mind and you could argue the race to the moon was no exception in that thinking. This example is also no exception as its reminiscent of its legendary predecessors sporting a 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3 o’clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. OMEGA’s Co-Axial calibre 9300 can be seen through the bevelled sapphire crystal caseback. All of this history is presented on a grey leather strap with a titanium foldover clasp and also comes with the following:

This piece is in excellent 2nd hand condition with no noticeable markings on the crystal or bezel. The casing itself is free of any major markings, but there is a light scuff on the lower right lug. The exhibition case back crystal looks as clean as the front, however the strap does show signs of use as there is visible fraying/tearing on the edges from where the clasp has been taken on and off. The clasp however shows almost no signs of use. Overall, the watch is in excellent condition with the exception of the strap, that is still in decent shape overall.
