A rarely seen Longines L4.685.4 configured with a desirable salmon dial. Released in the late 1990s as part of the Heritage Collection, the Longines L4.685.4 embodies the classic features of the ideal dress watch. Rumoured to only be an Asia exclusive release, this is a remarkable example offered with a salmon dial. The 35.5mm stainless steel case is high polished, with solid lugs that elegantly taper to a curve.  Under the subtly shaped domed acrylic crystal lies the guilloche dial in an attractive shade of salmon pink. The "clous de Paris” or hobnail pattern was chosen for the guilloche around the matte-finished center, harking back to examples from the 1950s in the Longines archives. The dial is set with alpha hands, complemented by a 3-9-12 Arabic numeral arrangement and dagger indices in rose gold, offering a reflective contrast against the matte dial. At the heart of this attractive watch is the Longines calibre L615.2, based on the ETA 2895-2. This 30-jewel automatic winding movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph.  Available now.  ***Condition Report*** This Longines L4.685.4 is in overall great condition. There are very minor wear marks which is consistent with a watch of this age. The case is nice and unpolished.  The dial is in pristine condition along with slight fading of the gold plating on the hands. The unsigned crown clicks in and out with good manual winding action. This example is powered by the automatic winding Longines Cal. L615.2 movement which is keeping satisfactory time.  The watch is offered on an 18mm black Epsom strap from Nomad Watch Works with its original signed pin buckle.
