Hello r/WatchEx! Today I am putting up for sale my dependable Seiko JDM (Japanese domestic model), automatic SARY057. This has always been the perfect "go anywhere, do anything" watch for me. It's specs truly seem impossible to beat in this price range. I originally bought it because I wanted a watch that I could wear every day and not worry about what I'm using it for, and it's been exactly that. It features a sapphire crystal (one of the few watches Seiko actually used sapphire crystal in this price range), 100 meters of water resistance (which I still use in the pool), and a day and date complication, which can be either english or japanese Kanji. The Japanese Kanji and sapphire crystal is what sold me on this watch and it really makes the dial a bit cleaner than an english day window. The watch has a nice exhibition caseback that shows the nice bronze rotor and a signed crown with the trusty Seiko 4R36 movement. The hands and indices have a really cool mirror polish mixed with matte effect that shines in the sunlight. I have always used this watch for any activity and it's been great to have on my wrist almost every day for two years! Because of that, the watch has a lot of swirls on the case and some dings I've tried to highlight in the pictures, but it's great to have a beautiful watch that you no longer worry about marking it up. I'm hoping it will go to a home where the owner is also not afraid to use it for anything and everything. The watch will come with the original steel bracelet, which also has an additional extension link which I added for more microadjustment capability, giving me a perfect fit on the wrist. I also have a brand new, unworn brown leather strap that I can include or the black NATO strap (in the pictures).
