[WTS] Grad school sale, everything MUST go! Vintage, reissues, and pocket watches - make me offers!
Hello r/WatchExchange, and welcome to what I (really, really) hope will be the last time I ever need to do a big group sale like this. As you can see, I still have too many watches. I'm also just a little while away from moving cross-country and going to grad school, and with that process costing only slightly less than your soul and firstborn child, I could use the extra cash. I want all of these **gone within the next two weeks**. As a result, **I have tried to cut prices pretty steeply, and will happily provide discounts for those who buy multiple watches.** I have lots of good feedback on here both as a buyer and a seller. Before I get into the listings, a few general notes. **For all prospective buyers:** If you're interested in anything here, feel free to send me a chat or PM. I will happily provide more photos and information if desired, including movement pics. **I will not respond to anything unless you leave a comment on this post first.** Sorry, have to be cautious. **Shipping:** All listed prices include standard USPS shipping in the CONUS. I have no issues shipping internationally or through a service other than USPS, but the difference in cost will be at buyer's expense. Please note that due to an extremely busy schedule, I may not be able to ship until a few days from now. **Condition:** Unless otherwise noted, I do not have the service history for a watch, but unless I say otherwise all watches are keeping time within a few minutes a day at last check. However, please note that due to lack of use and age, many of these watches could probably use a simple lubrication and cleaning, **and it is highly recommended that all vintage mechanical pieces be serviced for best long-term functionality.** I'll try to note if a watch is either in especially good or especially bad cosmetic condition, but please look at photos and ask if you'd like to see more. In general, figure these watches have been decently-well-cared-for, but also have been worn--most will present with small nicks here and there. Unfortunately my internet isn't really cooperating at the moment, so uploading to Imgur is proving difficult, but, again, I will happily send you photos of individual watches if you'd like. **Payment:** I will take payment through Zelle or PayPal F&F only--have had too many bad experiences with everything else. That it? I think that's it. Let's get into the listing. In order roughly from left to right of rows in group picture. **If you want to buy everything here, it would make my life incredibly easy, and so I am willing to sell this as a lot for *$755*, representing savings of $300 off!** **Lucerne jump hour watch - $80** Jump hour watches are just cool, in the end, and Lucerne's were pretty well known back in the day and are still quite collectible. This one doesn't feature the usual "DIGITAL" on the front underneath the manufacturer's logo, instead just saying "SWISS," which likely indicates this was one of the earlier iterations. Keeping terrific time, does have a few dings on the case, but is ultimately a solid chunk of metal, so should hold up just fine. Hours don't always line up quite perfectly--they're just a little too high--so if that bothers you, something to be aware of. Comes on pictured nylon strap with stainless steel buckle and loops, which is worth a fair bit on its own. **Revue Thommen Sport 30's Reissue - $350** A super, super cool vintage-inspired stainless steel sport watch, of which less than a thousand were made. Has art deco sensibilities in terms of styling, but comes in a slightly more modern size which will appeal to those who like the look of vintage watches but don't like how small they usually are. Sits really nicely on the wrist, and comes with pictured stainless steel bracelet and some extra links. Bracelet has a few quick-adjust holes, and is extremely comfortable. Lume on this sucker is still bright as anything, and automatic movement is ticking away like a champ. Unfortunately, just never has gotten the wear it deserves. This is a screaming deal--cheapest sold examples I can find in this condition are listed at closer to $400, and most currently listings are $500+. **Dueber Hampden pocket watch - $90** An absolutely gorgeous pocket watch, with most eye-catching part being the dimpled gold centerpiece on the dial--although other details like the polygonal style of shape and the large and wonderfully blued hands shouldn't be ignored. Unfortunately the glass crystal is loose, and the previous owner's attempts to keep it in place with a rubber band has left some residue. Should be relatively easy to fix and clean, and it runs well, but too much work for what I want to do at the moment. ~~**Vintage Wittnauer Geneve - $45**~~ **SOLD** An absolutely lovely vintage dress piece that could pretty easily be dressed down, in my opinion. Features a light champagne dial that catches the light simply wonderfully, and is paired with pleasantly quirky numerals at the cardinal points and the Wittnauer logo itseld, which I quite like the simplicity of. Recessed subseconds dial with raised circular patterning is a classic touch of this era, and the sword hands are quite nice. Does have a bit of a scratch on the upper right side of the crystal which could be polished out, but otherwise in wonderful condition. Winds and sets smoothly, but will need a service, as it is currently running far too fast. Comes on pictured Speidel-style stretch bracelet with some subtle patterning, which is sized to fit probably around a 6.75 inch or larger wrist. **Armitron quartz day-date - $10, or $5 with any other purchase** This has some nice heft to it, with a solid and pretty distinctive look, as well as having day and date functionality. Will need a new battery, comes with pictured adjustable bracelet. ~~**Vintage 17-jewel Bulova - $85**~~ **SOLD** This thing is in truly spectacular condition. The simple, slightly domed gold dial with a subtle sunburst effect features hour markers that are styled to look a though they've been carved into it, which pair perfectly with the classic minute and hour handset and counterbalanced seconds hand. Other than some spots by the lugs, the case is in remarkable condition, with every part of the caseback text looking almost new, and the Bulova signature on the crown fully readable. Running strongly, **DOES NOT** come with pictured strap, but I can help you source it.
