Greetings r/Watchexchange: Selling my King Seiko 44-9990 cal. 44A (manual winding). This reference was overhauled in 2020 by a previous owner in Japan. The watch was manufactured in November 1966 and is in very nice, unpolished condition. Corners and edges are well defined and all the parts are original including the signed crown. Please see the many photos and video below. New leather strap. It features a screw-in case back adorned with a gold medallion, model info, and serial number. There were two versions of the medallion: an ornate shield with “King Seiko” above it and a simple “Seiko” with a textured background. The shield medallion on this watch appeared from the first release until early 1967. Seiko outfitted the watch with a tall, thick acrylic crystal that adds welcome depth to the silver dial. It has a signed “Seiko” crown with a “W” denoting water resistance (testing this on a 58-year-old watch is not recommended). Asking $650 obro shipped CONUS. International buyers add $30 for shipping.
