Time to treat yo’self (or sure, someone else…) with a Cartier Tank, AKA THE watch of the holiday season! Within the Must de Cartier line of Tanks there’s a whole lot to choose from, that’s a big part of what we love about these, but this is the one everyone’s after, the classic lemon Roman dial with manual wound movement. DIAL: The lemon Roman dial screams Cartier. It’s a beautiful example with light patina and the standard lacquer spidering seen up close, but looks great, including those classic blued hands. CASE: This is the men’s version, measuring in at 23.5MM x 30.5MM. A small and classy watch, equally suitable as a men’s or unisex swatch. Pictured on my 6.6 inch wrist, it wears beautifully. The Vermeil case, a Cartier staple of gold over sterling silver appears unpolished with some beautiful patina forming on the gold, including the original caseback sticker. Has wear throughout, as to be expected given the age, but looks fantastic on the wrist. MOVEMENT: Hand wound mechanical movement running beautifully. Service history is unknown, but winding and setting is very smooth and timegrapher numbers are great at 15 seconds a day and a very healthy amplitude of 291. STRAP: Comes on a beautiful new old stock De Beers leather strap - keeping it French across the board! ACCESSORIES: Watch on strap with new buckle only.
