I love when a brand knows their lane and isn’t afraid to stay in it while still finding ways to up their game. That is IWC and pilot watches, and upping their game is exactly what they’ve done with the new Pilot Spitfire Automatics, going in-house with a full 3 day power reserve automatic! This beauty goes from shorts to a suit like a champ AND comes complete with box and card and booklets under warranty until 2030! REF: IW326803 SERIAL: 6340XXX YEAR: 2022 DIAL: The definition of a pilot dial… matte black with classic IWC pilot layout including oversized hands, but adding a sweet pop of color with the red Spitfire text. Very clean example, including the sapphire crystal. CASE: 39MM stainless case with a fantastic brushed and polished mix, wears beautifully (photographed on my 6.6 inch wrist.) Very light wear, mostly seen on the case back but presents near mint on the wrist. MOVEMENT: In-house cal 32110 bringing a 72 hour peer reserve to the table! Working exactly how you would imagine a 2 year old in-house IWC to work - winding and setting smoothly, quickset date snaps over perfectly and timegrapher numbers are fantastic at 2 seconds a day with a very healthy amplitude of 297. STRAP: Comes on a dark brown IWC leather strap with original IWC stainless buckle. Gorgeous strap with light wear - they brought in a great design that flares out just a bit, a cool little nod to the old school bund strap.
