Rolex Oysterdate ref. 6694 circa 1971 with linen dial This midsize 34mm manual wind oyster is arguably the best entry into both Rolex and vintage.  Not only does it have refined proportions starting with 42mm height (lug to lug) and 19mm lug width (strap size) which indeed offers more presence.  For comparison, the Datejust is approximately 44mm tall with a 20mm strap.
