Today I am looking to sell my Quartz Christopher Ward Rapide Asking $299 obo (+3% g&s) shipped conus Looking for one of the cheapest ways to get on the Christopher Ward band wagon? Here is your chance! Featuring an automotive inspired design and sporting the newer logo, this may be a future classic. This watch will come with the box and the original branded leather strap as seen in the photos. There is a small rough spot, about a centimeter across at the 12 o’clock mark on the stainless steel part of the case. I only just noticed this while playing with the watch, pondering whether I could part with it or not. The matte black bezel insert is in great shape. Specs are as listed: Calibre Rhonda 5021.D Quartz 42mm diameter X 48.2mm lug to lug 11.15mm thick 100m water resistance 22mm lug width -10/+20 Seconds a month Edited to comment on rash at 12 o’clock marker

Christopher Ward was founded by Chris Ward, Mike France and Peter Ellis on a boat on the river Thames in 2004.

In 2005, Christopher Ward released their first watch which created a whole new model for the watchmaking industry. When influential watch bloggers wrote about their watches on TimeZone, Christopher Ward were being discussed more than Rolex in December 2005.

For the company’s 10th anniversary in 2014, it merged with Swiss manufacturing partners Synergies Horlogères SA to create Christopher Ward London Holdings Ltd. This culminated in the launch of Christopher Ward’s first in-house movement, Calibre SH21, in July 2014. Conceived and designed over the past four years by Christopher Ward’s watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke, the SH21 is entirely Swiss-made by some craftsmen. This release is said to be “probably the most important development by a British watch brand in the past 50 years.”

Christopher Ward London was the only watch company to rank in The Sunday Times SME Export Track 100, ranking 77th in 2015.
