[WTS] Seiko June 1983 "Chariot" Hexagonal Gold 6030-5450, High Grade Calibre
[WTS] Seiko June 1983 "Chariot" Hexagonal Gold 6030-5450, High Grade Calibre
For sale is this vintage Seiko "Chariot" 6030-5450, made in Japan in June of 1983. The "Chariot" dress watch series by Seiko is known for their thinness, elegant design and high quality quartz movements. This model, reference no. CFS914, has a stunning gold linen dial with a handsomely faceted hexagonal case. The high polish gold baton stick markers pair nicely with the matching high polish sharp dauphine hands. The matte gold seconds hand satisfyingly hits every marker. The minute track, Seiko logo and lettering at the bottom of the dial are printed in black. The Suwa swirl logo at the bottom of the dial and the case back indicate it was a design made in the Suwa factory during its fierce rivalry with the Daini factory. The calibre 6030 is a neatly packed high-grade movement found in some Credor models and is a beautiful movement to look at as well as being high quality. It has a stated accuracy of less than half a second a day (for reference Casio's famous and more recent f-91w has a stated accuracy of +/- 30 seconds a month). The watch is very slim at only 5.4mm thick and the condition is great for its age (almost 40 years old!), minimal general wear expected but dial is clean and crystal has a couple of faint scratches. The gold is in good condition with some nice iridescent purple aging. Brand new battery. Aftermarket Strap. Dimensions are: 30mm x 35mm x 5.4mm Lug Width 19mm Bought in Japan.
