Cauny is a legendary brand among Spanish and Portuguese collectors. The Swiss company started producing watches in the 40s for these markets, eventually reaching a cult status. Nowadays, they’re highly sought-after in the Iberian peninsula. The oversized diver-style case is not all looks. These watches had a water resistance of 210 meters – better than the Rolex Submariner! The only difference is that it doesn’t have in-house movement. Instead, it uses a Cauny-signed ETA automatic caliber. **Condition:** Good. Minor signs of wear on the case. The dial is in decent condition, but the crystal has some markings. Please see the pictures for full condition and clarity. **Case size:** 40.5 x 41mm chrome-plated case with a thickness of 12.3mm and a 20mm lug width. **Crystal:** Acrylic, with some scratches. **Movement:** ETA 2772, automatic with 25 jewels, a beat rate of 21,600 bph, and a 47-hour power reserve.
