The day-date window at 3 o’clock shows the current day and date, while the month/year chart on the lower half of the dial allows you to determine the day of the week for any date across multiple decades. The bottom crown rotates the displays for days of the week at the top and the current year at the bottom. Although the printed years end at 2000, the watch can still display accurate dates by adding 28 years, making it work for any equivalent year in the leap-year cycle.
