The watch really needs no introduction to anyone who collects vintage timepieces or dive watches. Really one of the coolest vintage divers around, and very reminiscent of the older 36mm Explorers. This particular one is one of the cleanest I’ve come across, and the bezel has aged into a very cool chocolately red / brown that contrasts the dial very nicely. I am not too familiar with all of the different reference variations of the Sea Hunter, but this one has the dauphine hands, longer straight second hand, and no date window. I purchased the watch roughly 8 years ago and was told that the watch was serviced prior to my purchase; however, I do not have any paperwork for this and the case inside does not have any service markings. The movement looks clean and it has had no issues for me, but it is running a bit fast at +40s/day so you may wish to have it serviced at some point. Please check out all photos and see the rest of the details below: **Watch**: 1969 Caravelle “Sea Hunter” Devil Diver. 36.5mm, 44mm lug-to-lug, 11mm thick, 20mm lug width. **Movement**: 11DP Japanese manual hand-winding (no hacking). Movement is shown in the album and looks clean, no issues winding and setting the watch, although the crown sometimes sticks a little when pulling it out. The watch is currently running at +40s/day. **Case**: Stainless steel with screw back, all original markings clearly seen. Surface scratches throughout, consistent with a 50+ year old watch that has been worn fairly regularly. Some deeper nicks near the bezels and on the case back. **Dial**: Very clean and very good condition. The numbers and indices look great. The minute hand has a small mark on it, and the second hand shows a little discoloring. The lume is pretty much nonexistent. You can charge it up and snap a photo or two, but that’s about it. **Bezel**: Bi-directional (no clicking). Several light scratches throughout, and deeper ones near the 10, 13, 30, 35, 40, and 50 minute markers. The bezel has faded a bit and is not the original black of this model, but more of a chocolately red / brown. **Crown**: Signed “C” original Caravelle crown. Does not screw-down. Winds and sets with no problems, but it does stick a bit sometimes when pulling it out, as mentioned above. **Crystal**: Good condition but with some light scratches. Honestly probably nothing you would see unless under the right lighting, but they are there. **Water-Resistance**: Don't think about it. It may have been waterproof to 666ft at some point, but as with any vintage watch, please do not wear it in water without proper pressure testing first. **Strap**: The watch ships on a 20mm aftermarket black leather strap in used but good condition, which I think classes it up a bit too (I've joked that it's the "classiest Sea Hunter around"). **Payment**: Looking to get $750, but I am open to offers.
