This 1941 Eterna captures that basic yet functional aesthetic that defined late-1930s watch design – what we now call Bauhaus, even though the movement itself had ended a few years earlier. The influence is clear: clean typography, sharp geometry, and zero excess. The 31mm stainless steel case has long, slim lugs and flat surfaces that give it a footprint similar to a modern Nomos Tangente, decades before Nomos existed. The dial is balanced and legible, with minimalist Arabic numerals, a small seconds at six, and blue steel hands. Inside is the Eterna Caliber 520, the company’s first movement designed specifically **for** men’s watches. Released in 1941, it’s a simple 15 jewel simple manually wound caliber that marked an important step in Eterna’s evolution. **Condition:** Honest vintage condition. The dial shows attractive patina throughout, hands retain their original bluing, and the case edges remain crisp. The serial number in the movement dates the watch to 1941.
