On offer is a 1990s Speedmaster triple date. Its story is (I think) fairly charming. My dad's a (now-retired) watchmaker, and a customer brought the watch in, explaining it'd taken a hit. Apparently the customer, out golfing, got angry at a missed shot, took off his watch, and hit the watch instead. My dad told the customer the watch wasn't worth much, given the work it'd take to get it running again; when the customer pressed my dad, he offered to buy the watch for parts, which the customer then agreed to, and so my dad ended up with what he called his golf watch.

This would all have happened in the early 2000s; at the time, Omega still sent any parts to anyone with an account, and so my dad was able to get the watch back in working order (though he left the slight crease in the caseback, as a reminder of how it'd ended up with him). I know the dial and hands were replaced, but past that, other than routine wheels and mechanical parts that'd be replaced in a standard service, I think everything else is original (octagonal crown, 1479 bracelet, etc).

As the pictures show, the watch is in very good condition; there are scuffs from wear, but nothing too outrageous for a 30 year old watch. The bracelet is currently set for my 7.25" wrist, and could be made slightly bigger. There's a small scuff in the crystal right by the outside edge of the 9 o'clock subdial. When my dad took possession of the watch, he serviced it and wore it fairly irregularly--maybe once a month. It currently runs well, the chronograph starts/stops/resets as it should, and the calendar advances as it should (date and month advance with the crown in 1st position; day adjusts by a pusher at 10).
