Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.* This piece brings together two features we rarely see paired: a private label porcelain enamel dial commissioned for CAW Crosby and Son in Boston, and a preserved two tone Waltham Grade L movement from 1895. The dial was made by Waltham specifically for this jeweler in the late 1800s and remains flawless. Flip it over and the movement is just as compelling. The alternating gilt and nickel finishings create that classic two-tone look, and the original factory blued screws are still intact. That level of period finishing is part of what inspired us to pursue and perfect traditional thermal coloring in our Little Rock, Arkansas workshop. We hand blued the regulator, arbor, and case screws to complement the original work and bring even more contrast to the two tone movement. A rare Boston commissioned dial paired with one of Walthams most visually striking finishes housed in our 40 mm stainless steel case, this one feels special the moment it hits the wrist.
