Hi all, I have here a 1940's Pierce upside down chrono with the all in-house cal 134. When I bought this, I wanted a unique vintage chrono that was larger than 36mm (this is about 37) that has some history and doesn't break the bank. Welcome the Pierce Up/down chronograph. This actually has an all in house movement with a vertical clutch, very rare for the time. Supposedly, it isn't easy to service but this one came freshly serviced October of 2025 from the credible eBay seller, I bought it from. This watch was also pretty widely (privately/semiprivately) used for the British Royal AF as well as medical personnel for the British army during that time (WWII & after). The case dial & movement are all original according to the seller. The case is in superb A++ shape for the age, still has original finishing which is hard to find on an old watch. The dial is also superb (I might suspect a re-dial bc of white on hour hand) but according to the seller it's all original... Tells time great for the age but asking only $950 (semi flexible on negotiation) bc the chrono doesn't set to 0... still, you'll be hard pressed to get a vintage chrono, in-house, 37mm with some cool history under $1000 bucks.
