|Asking $3000 --- Piaget 80231 in excellent condition, especially for its age, manufactured in approximately 1988.This watch features a 31mm (34mm lug to lug) 18k yellow gold case, approximately 4mm thick, and an elegantly clean white dial matched with a black leather strap (17mm lug width) and yellow gold buckle clasp. It utilizes Piaget's 8P2 quartz movement, with 10 jewels and a 32,768 Hz frequency which keeps excellent time at around +10s / -10s per day. This watch is often listed as part of the Piaget "Tradition" or "Dancer" lines, though its manufacture predates when Piaget began giving their models proper names. The dial and crystal are completely unmarred in mint condition, and the beaded 18k yellow gold bezel is in excellent condition without any scuffs or scratches perceivable to the naked eye. The sides of the case have minor marks mostly only perceivable when held to catch the glare of a light and up close to your face. The caseback and matching yellow gold buckle have minor wear consistent with occasional use and most likely being laid on a nightstand or something similar after use. The leather strap does show some signs of wear at its edges but is in fully working condition and presents in good condition from the outward facing side on your wrist. This watch is especially perfect for tuxedo or dress wear, with its exceptionally thin case sliding easily under the cuff of a sleeve without any adjustment or fuss. These particular Piagets in this configuration are rare and very difficult to find. Searching the internet returns that only a few appear at auction or online for sale per year, and they are almost never in this condition. I don't have the original box or papers, however it does come with a leather Piaget watch sleeve as pictured and was seen by a trusted dealer (Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, receipt in photos) on Jan 16, 2026 and inspected by the watchmaker who confirmed his belief that it is all original parts and authentic, as well as installing a fresh battery. My wrist is 7.25 inches as pictured wearing the watch for reference.
