Dial: Beautifully aged and totally unrestored Explorer-type dial. “Swiss” present below the 6:00 hour marker. Raised indices and coronet. Chapter ring. Very clean Alpha-style handset. Original factory lume hour plots, fully intact.

Case / Crown / Crystal: Stainless steel case is very well preserved and likely to have received a light polish in the past. Lugs are well defined. Measurement is 34mm excluding crown. Previous service history (watchmaker’s marks) inscribed on the interior caseback; factory stamped I / 1953. Some minor scratches on the exterior caseback. Distinctive Rolex Super Oyster crown. Original factory-installed crystal.

Movement: Automatic.

Bracelet: Excellent Rolex C&I stretch rivet bracelet stamped 7-60. Twelve links with one section near the clasp lacking its spring-back tension. As-found, a slightly oversized pin is installed on the clasp (micro-adjustment).

Notes: This early 1950s Rolex Oyster Precision “Semi-Bubbleback” was acquired from the heirs of the original owner. Given its age, the watch is in excellent condition. Amazing patina, effortlessly elegant, full of character, it’s a timeless classic. Additionally, Explorer-type dials have immense appeal, the version on this vintage 6084 is no exception.
