Here for sale is my Rolex 1002 with the rare white/silver mosaic dial. The Mosaic aka Shantung dial was made for the Asian market and actually has silk woven into the dial. How cool is that! As such, it has a distinctive texture that IMO has a bit of a GS vibe to it. It had a complete service about in 2020 and has been running at ~ + 3 s/d. It was pressure tested after service to confirm 100m WR. I bought it from my watchmaker who bought it from the original owner. All original. Original bracelet included, and can accomodate around 7.5 inch circumference max. Also included is a nice deployant leather strap. Pretty incredible for a nearly 50 year old watch. Serial number dates it to 1973. Given its lighter dial, it wears bigger than the 34mm size would suggest. IMO it wears like a 36. It usually looks silver, but in the right light it looks like a heather grey T shirt. I have a 6.75in wrist for size reference on the pics. Every couple of months I toy with selling it and to date keep coming back from the edge. I am a bit nuts about the look of the Zenith Defy classic at the moment. Price is $3900 There are really only a few trades I’d consider at the moment. The Zenith of course. A Black Bay 58 black plus cash coming my way(how much would depend on bracelet or strap). Omega Constellation C case w a linen dial and fluted bezel as well as an Oris Big Crown Pointer date plus a lot of cash would be considered. I'll consider others I suppose.
