Up for sale is a beautiful Wittnauer tank, likely from the forties or early fifties. The manual wind movement is in good shape and is keeping great time. Service history is unknown, though the caseback does have numerous service marks. The 10k gold filled case has some interesting features. The lugs are hooded, which gives the watch some added wrist presence. The sides of the case have a great Art Deco style ridging. There are some scratches on the case, but no brassing. The dial, hands and indices are all in excellent shape. The dial has a wonderful honeycomb or waffle pattern. The glass crystal is clear but there is a small chip in the upper left corner. Comes with new black leather strap. Dimensions are 36 mm long (end of hooded lug to hooded lug) by 23 mm wide. You can see it picture on my 7 inch wrist below.
