Hi all! Here is for sale a beautiful vintage dress watch Omega DeVille 111.0127 from 1970s. For sale is the watch only. Case is made of 0,925 Silver and is 14K goldplated (20M) and caseback (40M). Case has beautiful ellipse form with stepped bezel and measures 30mm and 40.5mm lug to lug. Lugs have specific shape which gives to watch more vintage feel. Case is unpolished and gold has a beautiful purple patina. Crown has a black cabochon which looks like a Cartier inspired. Crystal is sapphire and has no blemishes. Dial is goldtoned and has beautiful black roman numerals, stamped Omega logo, DeVille and Swiss Made at the bottom. Has are leaf shaped and black colored which matches nicely with roman numerals and crown’s black accent. Movement is manual wind Omega cal. 625 and according to 39 mil serial number, watch is from 1975. Movement winds smoothly and keeps time. Service history is unknown. Video on Imgur gallery is speeded up to see the running hands. Strap is brand new 18mm DiModel brown leather strap with white stitching and goldtoned buckle. Strap is handmade in Germany. Watch looks classy due to it’s specific ellipse shape and perfectly aged gold’s purple patina. Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
