In 1926, Tudor was founded by Swiss watchmaker Veuve de Philippe Hüther on behalf of Hans Wilsdorf, founder of Rolex. Tudor aimed to offer more affordable watches than Rolex while maintaining Rolex-like quality by using off-the-shelf movements with Rolex cases and bracelets. They became known for its tool watches, especially its diving watches that were supplied to several navies, including the US Navy SEALs and the French Marine Nationale. The **Tudor Black Bay Chronograph (Ref. M79360N-0001)**, which is up for sale here, is a tribute to Tudor’s aquatic and motorsport heritage, blending the design elements of the Black Bay line with a chronograph function. It is powered by a manufacture calibre MT5813 that was developed in collaboration with Breitling. The Black Bay Chronograph is an important model for Tudor as it showcases its technical prowess and its ability to innovate while respecting its history. It's the closest many of us, including me, will ever get to the holy grail, the Rolex Daytona. I'm only selling this one, since I have some other expenses presently, that I have to prioritize. Please excuse fingerprints and dust, I took the pictures with my cell phone. With a magnifying glass, you will definitely find Microswirls and a few strap change marks, but in real life, these wont be very noticable. On the wrist, it runs with a small plus for me, and the finish and built quailty leaves nothing to be desired. Price: €4500 excl.
