[WTS] Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver manual winding + oyster bracelet
Hey all - catch & release here for the Nivada Grenchen CASD. I think it’s really cool, but a longtime grail watch literally came up the day this arrived, and I know I won’t wear both if I keep this guy. MSRP is right around $2k+tax for this exact configuration (dial, movement, bracelet); these have been sold out for a while and if they are restocked, it’ll be a bit. Given these factors I think my $1750 price is fair but I’ll also consider reasonable offers. About this model: Apologies for the smudges in the photos, the overall condition is A or A+. I see literally zero signs of wear on the watch itself and only some extremely minor scratches on the bracelet or clasp. Case is 38mm in diameter with a thickness of just under 14mm, pretty good for a chrono. And that height includes the domed sapphire crystal! 100m WR rating. No screw-down crown, but the crown action and feel is terrific, it feels very trustworthy for its rating. And FWIW I recently had a Doxa Sub 200 T.Graph that was rated to 200m with no screw down crown/manual winding chrono movement… so the case technology to support dive-ready WR without a “dive” crown has definitely been around a while. Winding is super silent and smooth as well, much quieter than a Hamilton Khaki or CWC 72. This uses a Sellita manual-winding chrono movement with Incabloc shock protection, and it’s super crisp to actuate and use. Lugs are 20mm, drilled for easy strap changes. They SEEM too long to look good with a strap, but it’s great on rubber dive straps and leather as well. Obviously it’s a bit thick for wearing with NATOs but to each their own! The bezel is friction-fit bi-directional with markings for dive timing/navigation as well as GMT functionality. The bezel action is light enough to bump it out of place while you’re winding the watch, but you’re not winding it or pushing chrono buttons during a dive are you? The OEM bracelet is branded with the N logo, I believe it’s a Forstner product — the clasp has a milled outer and stamped inner mechanism, which is plenty fine and keeps things slim. The clip isn’t even broken in yet, nice and firm when you put the watch on or take it off. There’s one stretch link next to the clasp for extra comfort. Sized currently for a 7” wrist with 2 additional links included for a max size of 8.5” or thereabouts. Included: leather geckota strap, original boxes + sleeve, 2 bracelet links, NV hang tag, extra spring bars, and signed warranty card.
