Omega Planet Ocean ref 215.30.44.21.01.001

I'm selling this one for my dad. He bought it last summer with plans to replace his Rolex Seadweller with this one when the Rolex prices were up. Now, he's decided to keep his Seadweller. It was purchased from an authorized dealer, and shipped to him directly from Omega, NJ.

This one is in perfect condition and functions perfectly. It has been unwrapped and tried on a couple times, but the bracelet was never sized, and it is all back in the original factory packaging. It is certainly LNIB. It includes the original box set, all three cards, and the instruction book. The serial number on the watch case and the movement matches the cards. The warranty card is not dated, but the shipping invoice shows the original date of purchase. The Omega warranty is valid until 7/22/2027.

I have not been very active on Timezone lately, but I have been a member since 2003 and I can come up with a few references upon request. Price is $4999 including USA shipping/insurance.

DESCRIPTION
It was with OMEGA's maritime legacy in mind that the brand launched its Planet Ocean line in 2005. Today, the stylish OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer pays homage to OMEGA's dive watch heritage.

This model, with its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, features a black ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The black ceramic unidirectional bezel with OMEGA Liquidmetal™ diving scale is mounted on a 43.5 mm stainless steel case.

Other features include an alveol screw-in caseback and a stainless steel bracelet with patented extendable foldover clasp.

The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is water resistant to 600 metres / 2000 feet / 60 bar, and has a helium-escape valve. The OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8900 at the heart of this timepiece can be seen through the transparent caseback. To achieve Master Chronometer status, it has passed the 8 rigorous tests set by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
