For sale is my IWC 3706 Fliegerchronograph automatic chronograph. The stainless steel case measures 39mm by 14.6mm thick with a lug to lug of 47.6 and lug width of 20mm. The case is what you’d expect for a well worn watch of its age with small scratches and scuffs around the bezel but nothing on the case sides. It’s never been serviced and still has the original fish crown (to denote water resistance) which is usually replaced at service. It’s water resistant to 60 meters and runs on the venerable Valjoux 7750 movement which has been tweaked by IWC. This is where some of the case thickness comes from and some is because of the soft iron cage around the movement which helps with antimagnetism. The sapphire crystal is free of any scratches or blemishes. This is a fantastic watch from an era of IWC just before they made the move from true tool watches to more of a luxury brand. It’s currently on a Fluco leather rally strap but also comes with the OEM bracelet from IWC which should fit up to about a 7-1/8” wrist. The bracelet has some small scuffs here and there consistent with desk work but is still in great shape and the clasp closes well and stays secure. The hands are showing their age and could probably stand to be replaced whenever it gets service but the lume still works.
