SOLD: Vintage 1964 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King 5501. (Hong Kong Sale Only).

This lovely two-tone Air-King has been in my collection since mid 2014 (when I bought it from Jacek at HQ Milton) and has been mostly kept in a safe ever since. It was serviced in 2014 by Classic Watch Repair and is still running strong and keeping excellent time (about +4 secs/day) when left dial up.

The movement is a 17-jewel cal. 1520 which was made for the US market, hence the lack of the more common "Precision" text on the lower dial.

Overall condition is very nice (especially the sunburst dial) as the photos below show.

The 1.1 million serial # and 5501 ref # are both clearly visible on the midcase and there is a matching IV/64 stamp on the inside caseback.

Case: 34mm

Lug width: 19mm

Materials: Stainless steel and 14k gold.

Lightly worn handmade leather strap with gold-tone SS buckle.

Price: HK$17,500 including delivery anywhere in Hong Kong.
