**Model:** Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, Reference 1500. **Configuration:** Grey/slate “Ghost”-like stick dial, original 7205 Rivet bracelet **Condition:** Honest; the condition is generally uniform throughout and tells a story of a timepiece that was worn for many years as just that- a watch. There may have been a soft polishing once in its history, but nothing obvious stands out- the lugs are still thick and the overall shape profile is consistent with other 1500s. The crystal is original but has a couple soft scratches inside; I will leave it up to buyer whether they want it replaced. Otherwise there is generally aesthetic wear where one would expect of a watch from the late 1960s. I did just have my watchmaker overhaul it (i.e., service the movement) and am happy to insure the service for a year. **Description:** 34mm case. 2.2 million serial number, putting it approximately at 1969. The real star of the show is that grey “Ghost”-like dial. I’ve seen other dials that are even paler, with the font barely legible, but this one teeters that line where the dial is pretty grey and the font very white but still legible.
