Tutima is a brand that’s finally getting the modern recognition it deserves, and in the process people are looking back and discovering it’s rich horological history. Nearly 100 years of German precision, huge chronograph technological advancements, and some incredible aviation watches! Speaking of chronographs, here we have a neo vintage chronograph flieger from the brand with a STUNNING metallic blue dial, power reserve indicator, and rotating bezel - SO. MUCH. WATCH. Oh, and this is a ONE OWNER recently serviced full collector’s set! REFERENCE: 780-84 DATE: 2005 DIAL: Just awesome, the lesser seen metallic blue dial goes from dark royal to a bright blue depending on how the light hits it - really awesome! Dial has a very clean chronograph layout, with the addition of a power reserve indicator, and of course, those amazing throwback hands! All looks pristine and seen under equally pristine sapphire crystal. CASE: 38.5mm stainless steel wears beautifully! (photographed on my 6.6 inch wrist.) Great brushing on the case sides, a few VERY light marks here and there, but all in in incredible shape that I would call near mint. And love the addition of the coin edge rotating bezel with red marker! MOVEMENT: LEGENDARY Valjoux 7750, serviced religiously by the original owner, who I’m selling on behalf of (all documented in spreadsheets - LOVE IT!) with the last full service happening just over 1.5 years ago. So as you’d expect, it’s running beautifully, winding and setting like butter, all chronograph functions working perfectly, and timegrapher shows extremely healthy numbers, 6 seconds a day and an amplitude of 353! STRAP: Comes on a very cool blue alligator strap that compliments that dial perfectly, complete with original Tutima deployant clasp - both with very minimal wear. ACCESSORIES: Full collector’s set: outer black cardboard box, gorgeous inner wood box (like a finely crafted cigar humidor!) and booklets. Original owner kept everything from new!
